The McLaren Vale-based Sisters of Abundance choir is celebrating 20 years, and is thrilled to bring its all-singing, all-dancing concert “Don’t Stop us Now” back to the Hopgood Theatre to celebrate.
The Sisters formed almost 20 years ago at Tatachilla College to be the chorus in the school’s production of the Sound of Music. They decided to stay together as a community choir and keep performing.
“The choir still has three of its original members from the college musical, but we have welcomed many new women over the years and we are still going strong. We’re more than a choir, forming close bonds and supporting each other through the many stages of our lives,” choir president Lyn Lawlor-Smith said.
“We’ve held an annual concert at Hopgood for many years and we are so happy to be back to celebrate this important milestone in the new theatre,” choir president Lyn Lawler-Smith said.
“The real things that separate us from other choirs are our musical accompaniment, choreography and costumes. We are definitely here to entertain you!
“Our program will make you smile, and includes songs and medleys from ABBA, Lion King, folk classics, 60s hits, Sister Act, Queen and more,” Lyn said.
The choir is headed by acclaimed musical director Rosemary Nairn OAM.

Sisters of Abundance will perform on Saturday March 14 at 2pm and tickets are available at Fringetix Explore Shows | Adelaide Fringe – 20 February – 22 March 2026
