Exciting news! Construction of the new Aldinga Skate Park is now complete, and the City of Onkaparinga is hosting an event to celebrate the opening.
The new skate facility includes a large bowl and a street skating section with the ability to hold events, competitions or demonstrations. The facility is also supported by an unsealed car park for 42 cars, a path connecting the car park to the skate park, irrigated turf for seating and viewing, shelter with seating and access to power, bins, drinking fountain, bike racks and a pedestrian path to the football oval and existing public toilets.
The official opening will be held at the Aldinga Skate Park, off Old Coach Road and Aldinga Sports Park, Port Road, at 12pm on Sunday 6 April 2025.
The opening event will include skate demonstrations and coaching, interactive and family activities, DJ music, free barbeque, drinks and ice-cream available for purchase.
