Are you interested in shaping a more regenerative, connected and thriving future for your local community?
For over 30 years, the Willunga Environment Centre (WEC) has been a focal point for environmental action and community connection in our region.
“As the world changes, so too must we,” says Ray Mines, Chair of the Environment Centre. “WEC is stepping into a process of renewal, reimagining what this organisation can be for the next generation. That includes new energy, new ideas, and new voices helping to guide what comes next.”
According to Ray, being on the Board is a relatively light commitment (a few hours each month), but it offers something meaningful: the chance to contribute to real, local change, and to help evolve an organisation at a pivotal moment in its journey.
You don’t need to have prior Board experience, just a willingness to participate, learn, and care about the place you live.
WEC is particularly interested in hearing from people who are currently underrepresented in our organisation, including:
- Younger people (including those under 30)
- Women, non-binary people, and
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
If this sparks something for you, WEC would love to hear from you:
