Hi, I’m Lawrence Johnson
I’m running for the seat of Mawson because I want to see real, bold action on climate change, cost of living, and the issues that matter to working people. With global temperature and extreme weather events on the rise, and democracy under pressure around the world, complacency is no longer an option.
I’m a gardener and a small business owner. I’m also a lifelong renter. It’s getting harder and harder to make a living, while big corporations increase their profit margins and fail to pay their fair share of tax. With people struggling to make ends meet, now is the time to take action and limit the ability of supermarkets and other private entities to profit at the expense of us all.
From door knocking with the Greens, it is clear to me that people are losing faith in our political system. I want to show them that it is worth fighting for, and the way to do that is by providing real outcomes for everyone in the community, not just those at the top. If the major parties aren’t providing these outcomes, they need to be held accountable.
It is my great pleasure to be your Greens candidate for Mawson.
